Family outing

We had been cooped up toooo long! So we decided on a quick road trip to Wichita. After a yummy lunch at Red Robin, we did a little shopping. Samantha had outgrown all her converse, so she was very excited to be getting back into a pair! We also bought a couple purses and some books. All in all a good day! Thanks honey for being our escort!

Continuing to enjoy the flowers and amazed by the layers in a rose. God could have stopped with just a couple, but lovingly added more so that the rose could be revealed in stages each one more beautiful than the last. Just like I am a product of God, and layer by layer he is revealing a more beautiful me. That is if I am following in his word, and living what I learn from it. So I strive each day to become a better learner and live a more beautiful life.

Valentine's Day

Gotta love a man who goes to the trouble of ordering you a dozen yellow roses!
So I think I will just continue to love him for as long as I live.
Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart! I love the flowers!

Snow, snow, snow

Round 2 of  Snowzilla! This time it hit us even harder.  Stephen parked out front and had asked us before he went to work  to clear a path for the postman.  So, we took it upon ourselves to do just that!
Zoey couldn't help, even though she tried to convince us she could.  We knew she could be easily distracted and we did not want to be traipsing through the snow just to catch a dog trying to catch a squirrel.
We got a lot of snow.
After clearing half our circle drive, we called it a day.  Samantha left her imprint in the snow. Gotta love it!

Sunset

There was not a sunset tonight because of the weather, however Samantha got some pics of the sunset from last night and I couldn't pick a favorite so I just collaged them! (As I have been doing a lot lately!) God's beauty is amazing and I am glad I was a witness to this splendor!

That's what friends are for!

I had a funeral to go to today, but that did not stop fun from happening at our house. Stephen had control of the house and Andrew came over to play in the snow with Samantha! Or Andrew came to play and Samantha took pictures! This is a pair of goofballs if there ever was one. They laughed all afternoon. Glad Samantha has a friend like Andrew. Someone she can be goofy with and can beat at Wii!!! Thanks for today Andrew!

Snowklahoma!

Snowklahoma! Snowpocalypse! Snowmaggedon! 02/01/11 Call it what you want, I can't remember the last time we were out of school for 2 days straight! The wind was NUTS! It made our heater run overtime. Thankfully we had a heater to run!
02/02/11 The sun is shining, groundhog Phil did not see his shadow, so we will have an early spring! Yeah right! Well at least for now we have some beautiful snow, and it should be around for awhile since we are in an arctic period. Record lows are scheduled for most of this week.  Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose. Luckily Stephen was not called out and has been home at a reasonable time each evening.  We are thankful for that.
Part of the good is snow ice cream! Or as Samantha likes to eat...chocolate snow. The drifts provided us with plenty of snow to choose from and it was grass free! More memories made, more pictures taken, more blessings found... Susan
